has a good home.
i'm done with the majority of papers due this week, so i'll have some more time to record songs. i've got about three that need to be recorded, and two that i'm writing, and will be done soon. i'm also working on a great song with some friends. i'll let you know more about that as it happens. here's a cover of an amazing final fantasy song that i made after watching the latest take away show. hope you like it.
a side note: pinkerton is the best record i've re-discovered in a long time.

i need a camera.
such a long day. i had an all day class, which meant two four hour sessions of half listening, and the creation of my first novel. let's just say that i'm happy to be done, and happy to not have to sit and listen to a topic that i couldn't care less about. and in celebration of this new found happiness, here's a new song!

the high kind.
another t-shirt day. thanks to aidan's tip, i've got a new midi rhodes patch, which means that my demos can now have a decent sounding rhodes in it! today's song is a cover of the last song on one of my favourite albums in the last little while, "loney, noir". if loney, dear is new to you, head over to his myspace and let him brighten up your day. (of course if you live on the west coast, all you have to do is open your window to have your day brightened.) my version features an ending full of noise makers that were on my desk, and an interrupted take, care of rob shauf. hope you enjoy!
this afternoon calls for some reading, and recording. i'll post yesterday's song as soon as i finish it.
and i won't cause anything at all/plans (loney, dear cover)

the flood
it's been so nice here lately. i wrote another song tonight, about trips, and leaving people behind. we all seem to do that sometimes. i've decided to take more pictures too. my camera sits so lonely on my desk, and i hate to let something so lovely go to waste. so expect lots of pictures, along with lots of songs.
here's the lyrics to the song:
on your way to find anew
jumpin trains, and changing views
smoke a pack a day, and think of me.
you use your language like a gun
you've sent the doubters off and runnin
you're holding happiness, to your heart, like it was your own.
but don't, lose track, of the finish line
if you, come back, maybe you'll wanna be mine
but until that day comes and goes, i'll be sittin here all alone
make sure your eyes see everything
have yourself an autumn fling
write your cursive neatly, so everyone can read your thoughts
let your smile lead the way
take your people into the fray
let the lens capture all the things you want to say, it's better that way
i hope, i'll cross your mind at some point
but i know, the truth is that i probably won't
know that i will hold you close in my prayers tonight
i'll post it as soon as i've finished recording it, or whenever i free up some hard drive space. see you!
Jamison.

quick quick
look at how efficient this works! i just finished recording this song, and now it's readily available for you. how lovely.

the whole myspace thing is old, and frustrating. i like this means of getting my music to you much better. plus here, you don't have to stream the music, hoping that your internet connection is working good enough to do that. every mp3 you download here is all yours; my present to you. so enjoy!
here are the few songs that got recorded after "homes away from home", which if you haven't downloaded is available right here: homes away from home.
hope to see you soon.
